On average, how many emails do you have from a typical colleague? I just did a search for one of mine. I have known this person for about eight months, and contact her maybe twice a week. I have about 60 emails.

Now I regularly clean out my email accounts; so I do not have too much stuff piled up. My partner has hundreds of email chains.

But let's say I want to just find one conversation through all those mail piles it can be a rather cumbersome unrewarding process if I do not remember the date or subject line. If I find the email I still have to read it to get that particular piece of information I want. If the information I want is the message this is not a big deal, but lets say the info I want is just a date and time. Then reading a whole email is a pain. Better than not communicating at all, but still no fun.

If I manage to get all my friends and colleagues to use BlueJean Time places, and/or the Get a Room feature to communicate; all those email chains can be replaced by a variety of project management type tools like calendars, checklists, documents files. I still get notified that someone is messaging or poking me, but if the message is a job or date I see it as a job or date.

Furthermore, if I am on BlueJean Time already for work. I do not have to log into a separate service to get my messages. Another perk.
